Mt. Etna

Our vulcanologist explained that Mt. Etna is just one of many volcanoes—all are quite unruly at the moment—and the smoke we saw from afar was a sign that it might erupt at any moment. That didn’t stop Mary from running up the volcano like a billy goat and nearly missing the bus!

This shepherd with his baby goat on Mt. Etna was selling little fabric bracelets and would allow the children to pet the goat.
